LMS Robotics Team wins Champions Award at Mt. Prospect Regional B

The LMS Flaming Tsunamis from LMS Robotics competed in the First Lego League Mount Prospect Qualifying Regional Tournament and were awarded the highest honor, The Champions Award. This award recognizes a team that embodies the FLL experience, by fully embracing our Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and Project. 

The Flaming Tsunamis were also had the Second Highest score in Robot Performance. By winning the Champions award, they qualified for the Northern Illinois Championship on February 8, 2014 at ForestView in Arlington Heights.

The Flaming Tsunamis are Coached by Mr. Brett Pasternak and Mr. Mike Gut.  
Team members, Annie C., Josh D., Conner G., John G., Tom K., Jack K., Don M., Ben P., Andy R., and Kristen Z.. 

Also competing this weekend, the other LMS Robotics Team,  LMS Storm Troopers competed at the Mount Prospect Qualifying Regional Tournament A. In their qualifier, the Storm Troopers were awarded the Project Award for their research and presentation on this years challenge, Nature's Fury. 
The team also won the Robot Performance Award by posting the highest score in the Robot Competition, with a 405. The Judges also awarded the team a seat at the Northern Illinois Championship, meaning that both LMS Robotics teams will be competing at February 8, 2014 at ForestView in Arlington Heights, with 58 other teams from around Northern Illinois. 

The LMS Storm Troopers are coached by Mr. Jamie Beedy, Mrs. Kerrie Pasternak & Mr. David Guzzarde. Team Members are, Jake D., Matt G., Alex J., John J., Tommie M., Mackenzie M., Kenny O., Tillie P., Nate T. and Bobby T..
